Terms & Conditions

Participants in the Golden Service Awards competition are required to meet or abide by the following terms and conditions:

  1. Applicants must be registered contract cleaning companies in the cleaning service industry in South Africa.
  2. All contracts entered must have been held for a period of at least 12 months prior to entry.
  3. Should a cleaning company lose a contract or be given notice during the duration of the competition, the Golden Service Awards Administrators must immediately be advised and the site will therefore not be considered for inspection.
  4. Online entry forms are available on our website – www.goldenserviceawards.co.za - these forms are also downloadable for manual completion and once completed can be mailed to Kimberly-Clark Professional, The Golden Service Awards, P.O. Box 829, Parklands, 2121 or  faxed back to (011) 880 4629 or even scanned and e-mailed to sue@vibrantmedia.co.za.
  5. Downloaded, scanned and faxed entry forms must be dated and signed.
  6. If the application form is not completed in full, the entry will be disqualified.
  7. No more than two (2) sites per size of contract and per industry category may be entered in each region. 
  8. Outlying or remote areas will only be considered for inspection where three (3) or more sites within close proximity are entered.
  9. Appointments for judging during July and August will be made with the customer contact and the contract site supervisor at each site.  Judges will not return to the site if the customer and/or site supervisor is unable to meet the confirmed appointment date and time and the site will not be judged.
  10. A site attaining a score of less than 80% will not be nominated for an award.
  11. To qualify as a finalist for the Cleaning Company of the Year award, a contract cleaning company needs to have entered a minimum of two (2) sites under 2 categories in 2 or more regions.
  12. To qualify as a finalist for the training award, a contract cleaning company must have sites nominated for cleaning category awards in two (2) or more regions.
  13. Closing date for entries is 1 July 2011.
  14. Entry forms and supporting material will become the property of the Golden Service Awards Administrators and will not be returned.  The sponsor/s reserves the right to publish the award winners’ names, addresses and photographs for promotional purposes.
  15. By entering this competition, you give permission to have your company details forwarded to the two industry employer bodies, namely the National Contract Cleaners' Association and the Black Economic Empowerment Cleaning Association
  16. The decisions of the judging panel will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  17. Once an entry is received, the above terms & conditions will apply.
